Commission grants several tax abatements, denies one parcel-split request
Custer County approved abatement requests for cemetery, VFW, an owner valuation error and a City purchase; a parcel-combining request from Dave Dietz was denied for missing the Nov. 1 filing deadline.

Scott Storms, Director of Equalization, presented abatement and exemption requests. The commission approved an abatement of $261.82 for the 1.218-acre Folsom Cemetery parcel (Sanders Ranch/Thompson/O’Neill/Wolf) and noted cemeteries can be tax-exempt if qualifications are met. The commission also approved a $3,844.46 exemption for VFW Post 3442 (Lot 3, Block 9, Custer City) to become fully exempt.
