The Custer County Commission on Aug. 12 approved several right‑of‑way requests from Golden West Telecom for utility installations across county roads, including Elliott Road (FDR292), Farmer Road, Knight Road, Little Italy Road, Medicine Mountain Road and Wild Turkey Drive. Highway Superintendent Jesse Doyle told the commission the requests are for mainline extensions that will require boring and road crossings; motions to approve each request were made and passed with no dissent.
