County Administrator John Gorton updated commissioners on the Flat Shoals Bridge, which serves as a crossing between Meriwether County and Pike County. Gorton said the counties had discussed options with GDOT and that a full design and funding project could take 'approximately 18 to 24 months before construction could begin, potentially leaving the bridge closed for three to four years.'
