Commissioners reclassify LRA projects and approve new road equipment purchases
The board moved J.W. Dunn Road from RFP to in-house completion, rescinded Beaver Lake Road from the 2026 LRA list, approved the $260,000 boom mower purchase (to be reimbursed from TSPLOST) and authorized a $25,000 milling head attachment purchase.

Commissioners rescinded the inclusion of J.W. Dunn Road from the 2025 LRA RFP process after Public Works found the project could be completed in-house. County Administrator John Gorton explained that once the in-house projects are completed, remaining LRA funds will be returned to the Board for direction on subsequent eligible roads.
