Probation office requests modest budget decrease, asks for two additional pull alarms

Chief Probation Officer Carrie Rodriguez and Chief Deputy Probation Officer Morgan Campbell presented a written booklet outlining juvenile and adult probation services provided to Merrick County. Rodriguez said the department's 2026–2027 budget request is $14,026.47, a decrease of $328.74 from the prior request. Rodriguez also asked the board to consider adding two pull‑alarm devices to the probation office; the board said it would look into cost and procurement process.
