The Merrick County Board voted May 26 to approve an Environmental Services bid of $87,200 for Task 1 and Task 2 asbestos abatement at the Long‑Term Care facility and the old hospital. The asbestos abatement motion carried 6–1; Supervisor Weller cast the lone no vote.
