County says SafeHouse can apply directly as final drawdown completes

Jim, a county official, told commissioners that the county’s long-standing partnership with SafeHouse on an emergency shelter grant is ending and the nonprofit will now be able to apply directly to the state. "This will be the last," Jim said of the county’s drawdown role, and he explained that allowing SafeHouse to apply directly should speed up payments to the shelter.
