Springfield Township Historic Commission elects interim officers, defers permanent chair

The Springfield Township Historic Commission reorganized on Jan. 22, 2026, electing interim leadership and postponing the selection of a permanent chair. Bruce Whitesell, a commission member, was elected Temporary Chair and Vice Chair, and Mary Whitesell was elected Secretary by motion that the minutes record as "duly seconded and unanimously approved." "The following were elected under Reorganization by Motion, Duly Seconded and Unanimously Approved: Bruce Whitesell as Temporary Chair and Vice Chair; Mary Whitesell as Secretary; Election of a Chair was deferred until the next scheduled meeting," the minutes state.
