Magistrate continues Oakleaf Preserve tree-removal case while city gathers mitigation documentation

City staff reported that a historical tree in Oakleaf Preserve (parcel within Edgewater limits) was removed without the required tree permit. Staff sought a $300 citation and called for a one-time tree-mitigation payment of $1,200 per development-services guidance; staff also described the tree as very large (reported measurements in the transcript around 136–139 inches in circumference).
