The Mount Pleasant Area School District Board approved restructuring of its gifted education delivery at the Aug. 6 meeting, voting to close the current K–6 Gifted Support position and to create a new K–8 Gifted Support position for the 2025–2026 school year. The board cited a desire to provide expanded and continuous services across elementary and middle grade levels; both motions were recorded as passing 9–0.
