The Trappe Town Council unanimously approved entering the MD Rural Water Association apprenticeship program covering both water and wastewater operations. Patty Shreves presented the program to the council, describing it as a two-year on-the-job training pathway with grant funding to cover required coursework and some supplemental services. The council's motion to join the program was made by President Newnam and seconded by Commissioner Walter Chase.
