The Kent County Agriculture Preservation Board on July 22 approved a request to obtain an appraisal for the Robinson property, authorizing staff to spend up to $3,500 to prepare for a Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) application expected in early 2027. Staff reported that Soper & Associates quoted $3,000 for the appraisal with delivery within three weeks; Williams Appraisal LLC declined to bid for this parcel.
