Trustees appoint Loretta J. Teets as mayor pro tempore; Teets abstains

Trustee Marco T. Paz moved, and Trustee Marco A. Gutierrez seconded, to appoint Trustee Loretta J. Teets as mayor pro tempore for the Aug. 11, 2026, meeting in the absence of Mayor Beniamino Mazzulla. The board recorded votes by roll call: Trustee Loretta J. Teets abstained; Trustees Marco A. Gutierrez, Sylvia Terrazas, Marco T. Paz, Nazario Garcia and Simplisio Roman voted aye. The motion passed.
