Residents warn single-exit Redtail proposal risks evacuations and parking gridlock
Dozens of Carpinteria residents urged the council to press the county and developer for changes to the proposed Redtail (Red Veil/Red Tail) housing project, saying its single egress and limited parking could overwhelm nearby streets and impede wildfire evacuations. Supervisor Daisy said the county is responsible for the project but agreed to publish more information and hold a Sept. 17 city–county meeting on impact fees.
