Board approves plan revision for Octagonal Schoolhouse parking at Historical Commission’s request

Engineer Cindy VanHise told the Board she met with Historical Commission members who requested that the proposed parking lot for the Octagonal Schoolhouse be sited parallel to Swamp Road rather than adjacent to the drainage ditch. VanHise said the alternate placement would be on a level field and would allow expansion along the tree line, and that it "would not increase the impervious surface and is a logical solution." The Board authorized VanHise to move forward with revisions to the plan for review.
