Board creates temporary 'Academy Cadet' position and authorizes MCOLES grant application

The Montmorency County Board on Aug. 13 established an Academy Cadet position in the Sheriff’s Office as a temporary, non-union, at-will classification to cover academy attendance and training. The motion states the classification will be compensated at Pay Grade 1, Step 1 and will not increase the Sheriff's Office authorized staffing level or create an additional budgeted Deputy Sheriff position.
