The Santa Rosa Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to amend Superintendent Dr. Isaac Rodriguez's contract after an executive session and approved the motion in open session on July 28. The motion "to amend the Superintendent contract as discussed in executive session" was moved by Kelly R. Ballin and seconded by Theresa Castaneda; the board recorded the vote as 6–0 when it reconvened at 8:04 p.m.
