Neighbor asks who would be liable for problems if events abut private property
At the board meeting a resident laid out a scenario of intoxicated visitors and asked whether the school, county, or city would be responsible for misconduct in a buffer zone adjacent to a proposed athletic site.

Terry Sopen told the board he was worried about event security and asked whether fencing or a buffer zone along the west edge of school property would place liability on homeowners, the district, the county or the city. "Is the school responsible? Is the county responsible? Or is the city responsible if that particular person or property happens to be mine?" he asked during public comment.
