Senate adopts resolutions commending students and designating commemorative days
The Senate adopted a series of ceremonial resolutions, including commendations for student awardees and designations such as Saint Patrick's Day commemoration and Funeral Director's Day for March 11, 2026; several were adopted without objection.

The Clerk read multiple ceremonial resolutions recognizing student awardees from local high schools and other commemorations. For example, the Clerk read: "Senate resolution number 11 by Senator Hodges is a resolution to commend and congratulate Rachel Henry on being selected 2025, 26 student of the year." Similar resolutions for other students and recognitions were introduced and laid over.
