Wayne Elvis, a member of Jericho's Conservation Commission and Cemetery Commission, used the public‑comment slot to criticize an apparent proposal for apartments at the Riverside site and to push for small owner‑occupied units instead. He said he was surprised to see apartment blocks referenced in the bid announcement for Riverside and asked the commission whether the town's village‑center or PUD guidance could be framed to favor condos or small houses.
