District staff presented results from a teacher survey (83 responses) and trustees discussed differing needs across grade levels and course types, the role of homework in reinforcement, and the advisability of homework over breaks. Leslie Peters and Shannon Brown recommended creating a task force to craft guidance with teacher input; trustees agreed and asked staff to report back in August after meetings with administrators.
