Council adopts definition for 'natural gas regulator station' in zoning code
To limit ambiguity, the Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-07-17 to add a narrow definition of 'natural gas regulator station' clarifying it refers only to pressure-control equipment and not broader natural-gas facilities.

As a follow-up to the zoning amendment, the Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-07-17 to add a definition for "natural gas regulator station" to Section 17.12.214 (N definitions). Staff said the definition is intended to limit the scope to equipment used to control and maintain uniform natural gas pressure and to avoid a broader interpretation that could permit other natural-gas activities.
