The Senate Committee on Housing voted to pass Senate Bill 22-32, a three-year tiny-home grant pilot to be administered by the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation, with amendments adopted in committee. Chair recommended adding one full-time housing development specialist II position at an annual salary of $170,000 (including benefits) and accepted an amendment limiting tiny homes to primary residential use rather than transient or second-home occupancy.
