Chair Karl Rhodes told the Senate Committee on Judiciary that SB 2055 would establish a helpline to collect reports of harms tied to federal deployments and direct data to the Civil Rights Commission and legislature. The committee moved the bill forward with the Civil Rights Commission's recommended edits and placeholder appropriations for a contract with Aloha United Way, website/database work and new staff positions.
