Ancora Compassionate Care uses United Way funding to support bereavement services that Medicare requires hospices to provide for caregivers but does not reimburse, Collins said. "That is a requirement, but that is not anything that they reimburse for," she explained, and credited United Way dollars with helping sustain that work.
