Xcel Energy told Boulder City Council it is already moving three underground feeder projects through its wildfire mitigation plan and expects the first of those to be completed in early 2027. Nicholas Cole, Xcel's Boulder area manager, said the projects include a feeder serving the city's water treatment plant and together will help protect about 9,000 customers.
