Regional Brownfield grant moves forward; Cameron County site testing to be repeated after lab error
Officials said a regional Brownfield grant will fund projects across Potter, Clearfield and Cameron counties; soil sampling at Pickrick Flats detected surface oil and some samples must be retaken after a lab location mix-up the lab will cover, officials said.

Commissioner (S4) told the commission that Montrose Environmental conducted site visits to a roughly 370-acre property and that the county's Brownfield study is ongoing. The grant, described as regional, covers multiple counties: Potter, Clearfield and Cameron County, and was discussed in the range of $1.6 million with about $1.5 million available to split among projects.
