Westfir work session selects water workforce, infrastructure and economic development among top state priorities

Councilors met in a work session after the special meeting and agreed on a set of legislative priorities to submit to the League of Oregon Cities. Members said they wanted to emphasize resources for small towns on water/wastewater staffing and capital needs; one councilor summarized their picks as “water workforce development” first, followed by infrastructure funding and ratepayer assistance.
