An applicant interviewed for a Timberland Regional Library advisory-board seat told Mason County commissioners she believes the board's role is to "protect the public trust with regard to the library" and to "promote learning," and she said "I believe it's to promote lack of censorship," calling book removal and restricted access a mistake that limits knowledge.
