The Board voted unanimously to require a discretionary Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the Bruening Rock Products Quarry under Minnesota Administrative Rules 4410.1700 Subp. 7 A, citing concerns about type, extent and reversibility of environmental effects.

Land Use Director Blake Lea told commissioners a qualifying petition had been received by the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board and reviewed the County's next steps. On motion by Bakke and seconded by Prestby, the Board unanimously approved requiring a discretionary Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the Bruening Rock Products Quarry under Minnesota Administrative Rules 4410.1700 Subp. 7 A (type, extent and reversibility of environmental effects).
