Fillmore County names stream in Peterson 'Haslerud Creek'
Following a public hearing, the Fillmore County Board unanimously adopted a resolution naming an unnamed creek in the City of Peterson and Rushford Village 'Haslerud Creek' after Peter Peterson Haslerud, citing Minnesota Statutes 83A.02–83A.07 governing place names.

At a public hearing on April 14, Fillmore County commissioners voted unanimously to name an unnamed creek in the City of Peterson and within Rushford Village 'Haslerud Creek.' Chair Randy Dahl opened the hearing at 10:01 a.m.; County Administrator Bobbie Hillery read a letter submitted by a citizen and gave historical background and statutory context.
