Council introduces rezoning for 520‑home 'Trailside Run' subdivision

City Manager Brent Merriman told council that Rockford Homes applied to rezone 121.558 acres from agricultural to suburban neighborhood district to enable the Trailside Run development, a proposed 520-home single-family subdivision, and that planning recommended rezoning at its Aug. 12 meeting. "Approval of the rezoning is not approval of the development itself," Merriman told council; the developer must still submit subdivision plans for separate review.
