Clerk Michelle Yduraga presented an item to appoint the director of public works, Amy Schmidt, as the second alternate to the ESJPA (Environmental Stewardship Joint Powers Authority) that oversees regional solid-waste matters. The board discussed whether the alternate should be a solid-waste staff member and agreed to appoint Schmidt now and revisit designee language at a later date if necessary.
