Senator Meisel described House Bill 807 as a program to expand the pool of instructors at two-year public institutions and to target training in occupations that are in high demand across Louisiana. The sponsor said the bill would create a workforce instructor capacity investment fund to accept gifts, grants and legislative appropriations and to expand instructional capacity in fields where workforce shortages exist.
