Board questions adopting EV-charging appendix given land-development rules already in place

Staff noted that the 2024 IECC appendices now include an electric-vehicle charging infrastructure appendix (appendix C/G) with requirements for percentages of active and 'ready' spaces and for electrical infrastructure capacity. Members warned the appendix contains detailed transformer and raceway sizing requirements that may not align with local land-development code requirements.
