Committee asks for minutes from regional chiefs' meetings and agency reports

A committee member requested copies of minutes from the chiefs' meetings and said those meetings routinely include reports from external agencies that affect regional operations. He listed contributors—"the Fire and Rescue Academy, the State Farm Marshals Office, the Forest Service, FFSL"—and asked that meeting minutes and agency reports be made available so the subcommittee can use them to plan training.

The member noted recent turmoil had disrupted productive exchanges but expressed confidence meetings will improve and suggested tying the chiefs' reports into the subcommittee's training planning. Members agreed to seek access to the minutes and, where feasible, attend the chiefs' meetings to receive briefings directly.
