Several North representatives said they were worried the conversion would funnel money from the North to the South and voiced skepticism about proposed arrangements. Committee members repeatedly denied an intent to transfer funds from North to South, and the county executive said he had “assured them in 3 different languages that it wasn't gonna happen.”
