Cloverdale Elementary will implement a "One Book, One School" program next year focusing on social-emotional learning using titles by Portland author Trudy Ludwig. The principal described the plan: "you pick 1 book, and then all of the kids read that same book," distribute copies to students and parents, and use aligned lesson plans and classroom activities to build consistent language across the school.
