Dr. Susan Buckley, Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services, introduced a district optimization process at the KILLEEN ISD Board of Trustees workshop on Feb. 4, 2025. She described partnerships with Civic Solutions Group, Huckabee and Zonda and said the effort is intended to "ensure long-term financial sustainability and high-quality educational opportunities." The presentation listed possible elements such as expanding or implementing programs, consolidating underperforming schools, rezoning to reflect housing changes, and long-range facilities planning for growth or decline.
