Bill Cannon moved the introduction of Ordinance 26-01, described in the meeting as the county's proposed adoption of the state Department of Transportation model traffic code in full, and the board agreed to schedule a public hearing for Sept. 23, 2026. The chair instructed staff to publish notice in the local newspaper in advance of the hearing so the public can take notice and comment.
