Douglas County joins state Local Small Structure Improvement Program to aid municipal bridge repairs
The board approved county participation in the Wisconsin Local Small Structure Improvement Program (LSSIP), enabling municipalities to seek reimbursement of up to 90% for eligible small-structure replacements while the county will reimburse municipalities 50% of their remaining balance under its Aid to Bridge Policy.

Douglas County approved participation in the Wisconsin Local Small Structure Improvement Program (LSSIP), a WisDOT program that can reimburse municipalities up to 90% of eligible costs to replace failing small structures between 72 inches and 20 feet. The Transportation and Infrastructure and Administration committees recommended inclusion of all municipalities covered by the county’s Aid to Bridge Policy.
