EAC reports supervisor support for initial single-use plastic-bag restriction
After meeting with a supervisor, EAC members said Supervisor Judy Reese appeared supportive of pursuing a ban limited initially to single-use plastic bags and the group is exploring an informational board agenda item for Oct. 7 and possible public presentation by Farron.

Dominique reported a long discussion with Supervisor Judy Reese, who "seemed to think that she couldn't imagine why anybody would object to it" and indicated she would raise the matter with the board. Members said supervisors Dan and Colin are likely to support the measure and that an initial ordinance should focus on mandatory restrictions for single-use plastic bags before considering other items such as straws or different plastic types.
