The Somerset County Commissioners voted 5-0 on Aug. 5 to approve Community Benefit awards for three applicants, totaling $31,696 under Resolution 26-136. Awards include $15,000 to the New Portland Lions Club for fairground electrical upgrades; $15,000 to the West Forks Fire Department for a vehicle and radio purchase; and $1,696 to the Smithfield Fire Department for tablet purchases.
