Board denies Windswept Development conditional rezoning RZN26-02 after public opposition
After a public hearing with two residents opposing the request, the Amelia County Board denied a conditional rezoning request (RR-3 to R-1) submitted by Windswept Development, LLC; the motion to deny passed with three votes in favor, one opposed and one abstention.

Austin Mitchell presented the staff report on conditional rezoning request RZN26-02, a proposal to rezone property from RR-3 to R-1. The Board opened a public hearing; two residents spoke against the request. Brady Deal of Main Street Homes addressed the Board on behalf of the applicant and asked the Board to approve the request subject to the proffer conditions outlined in the staff report.
