Ottawa County awards $1.47 million High Risk Rural Roads contract; county to match $678,000

The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners voted July 6 to award a High Risk Rural Roads contract to Schilling Construction Co., Inc. for project 072C-5321-01. Public Works Director Chris Smith told the board the low bid totaled $1,471,898.00 for work on RS 2039 from Ottawa Road to K‑18, with an estimated county match of $678,000.00. The contract award motion passed 2-0 after Commissioner Duane Morris left the meeting prior to the vote.
