County approves down payment for joint command-post trailer using Homeland Security funds

Emergency Management Director Andrew Delgado described a multiagency project to build a joint command-post trailer to improve on a 2004 unit the county rarely used. Delgado said the county received a $75,000 Homeland Security award for the trailer; the total cost is $79,170.72 and Team Lodge requires a $15,834.14 down payment to begin the build. Delgado said the grant will reimburse $75,000 and the remaining balance would be split among four participating entities (about $1,042.68 per department).
