Commission approves part-time status for security staff and formalizes prosecutor's separation
The commission approved changing a security staff member to part-time status while he attempts to sell his house and ratified the separation of Amanda Bryant from the prosecutor's office effective July 31, 2026.

Sheriff Mark Baker described a security staff member's situation and asked the commission to change his employment status from full time to part time until his house sale completes. The sheriff said the staff member "ended up, gonna retire and couldn't sell his house, so he stayed for a couple extra weeks," and asked that he be allowed to work part time as needed; the commission approved the change by voice vote.
