The board authorized submission of an FY 2026 EPA Region 7 community grant application that staff said originated via a congressional contact; staff also has an RFP for a right-of-way agent to meet federal acquisition requirements.

Project Engineer Jeff Thompson told the board the agency needs to submit paperwork and a work plan to the U.S. EPA Region 7 to access FY 2026 community grant funds the agency is pursuing. "This, as you may recall, is a grant that we actually received from Bacon's office, for 2026," Thompson said; the board moved to authorize the grant application and the motion carried.
