Belpre recognizes National Police Week; dispatch office upgrades underway

Safety-Service Director Joe Kirby briefed council that May 11–17 is National Police Week and that Peace Officers Memorial Day is observed May 15. He described physical upgrades to the dispatch office — new flooring, painted walls, dedicated electrical outlets for consoles and access-control panels to manage building entry — and said the department took part in Operation Blue Sky, a multi-community procession honoring officers who died in the line of duty.
