The Franklin County Commission opened a public hearing to consider lowering the speed limit on Duns Spring Road to 30 miles per hour. The Chair asked for speakers in favor of the change; none spoke. Several residents opposed the change on the grounds that local authorities cannot effectively enforce lower limits on rural and state roads.
